Dr. Neil Westbrook
Senior Pastor
Dr. Neil Westbrook committed his life to the gospel ministry in 1997 while he was in college at NC State. Since then he has served several churches throughout the southeast. He has also served numerous community organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, Smart Start, and various local food and clothing banks. Neil has earned degrees from NC State University, Duke University, and Mercer University.
Neil’s calling includes ministering across generations and challenging “cultural Christians” to become passionate followers and devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.
He and his family enjoy spending time together outdoors. Neil often plays drums for the praise band at Neel Road. Visit Neil’s personal blog.
Graham Culbertson
Minister of Students and Families
Graham serves as the Student Pastor here at Neel Road Baptist Church in Salisbury, NC. He grew up in Greenwood, SC, and graduated from Anderson University (Anderson, SC) in December of 2006 with degrees in Business Management and Human Resource Management. He works with all our students from Preschool through College.
Graham began working with students at Camp McCall, a Royal Ambassador camp in South Carolina, throughout his collegiate summers. In his junior year at AU, he took an internship at First Baptist Church, Anderson, SC, serving as the Associate Youth Pastor. After three years of serving in Anderson, Graham took the position here, at Neel Road, in March 2008.
He married his beautiful wife, Andrea, in June 2008. He loves to watch and play football and basketball as well as play the guitar in worship. Cyndii Owen
Administrative Assistant
Cyndii Owen joined the staff at Neel Road in 2011.
Justin Snyder
Interim Music Director
Justin Snyder serves as the church pianist at Neel Road since June of 2010. In 2011, Justin graduated from Pfeiffer University where he received a BA in Music Education.
Justin has worked in various churches since 2006 with experience in both traditional and contemporary worship music. In his junior year at Pfeiffer, he completed an internship at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church serving as Music Director Intern.
Passionate about all kinds of worship music, Justin believes that church music is a tool that can reach searchers and grow believers. Therefore, the church musician’s purpose is to share the Word and Love of God through all different kinds of music and experiences.
Betsy Crowell
Church Organist
Betsy began playing the organ for churches while in high school in her hometown of Sumter, South Carolina. She continued her organ lessons at Queens College and later graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in mathematics and from Western Carolina University with a degree in school counseling. In past years she serve as the organist for Gays Chapel Methodist Church and John Calvin Presbyterian Church. Betsy enjoys sharing with others the beauty of the hymns and the comfort and inspiration found in their music and words.
Betsy joined the staff at Neel Road in 2009. She plays the organ one Sunday each month for the Morning Worship Celebration.
